What’s Wrong With This Picture

The following is a list of things I've found wrong in the picture. In cases where the problems are difficult to see, I've created links to enlargements of them. The enlargements open in their own windows. When you are finished looking at or printing one of them, close its window without exiting your browser program. If an enlargement fails to open, it is most likely because your browser does not support JavaScript, or that it has been disabled.
What’s wrong with this picture
Concepts: Equilibrium, law of one price. What's wrong with this picture? The more expensive gas station probably won't get many customers and will be forced to lower its prices. The Law of One Price says that identical goods in efficient markets must have only one price in equilibrium. (Note: Click on the picture to download a high resolution version of the image.)
Concept: Equilibrium. What's wrong with this picture? This is too good to be true. Since a business can get all the inexperienced home typists it wants at a much lower wage, it makes no sense for it to offer $40-$100 an hour. The driver entering this street, just before the school crosswalk, is likely looking left for oncoming motor vehicles and may not see the pedestrian or the crosswalk to the right. The amount of traffic on this busy street is prompting this child to dart across. In addition, most states require all crosswalks to be white. This picture was taken in California, where yellow is used for pavement markings in school zones.
Hedges block access to the sidewalk at the end of this school crosswalk. There is no curb ramp, and the bushes block access to pedestrians in wheelchairs and any other students attempting to cross. In addition, most states require all crosswalks to be white. This picture was taken in California, where yellow is used for pavement markings in school zones.
This is a well-marked school crosswalk with advanced warning signs. (Note the back of the sign in middle of the image.) However, school children must walk 10 to 12 feet into the travel lane, while in the crosswalk, before they can see approaching traffic. In addition, most states require all crosswalks to be white. This picture was taken in California, where yellow is used for pavement markings in school zones.
The mistake is not easy to spot. All seems well in this unremarkable image of offshore sailing: Celestial charging South with all guns blazing on the first day of the recent Sydney-Hobart race (which she went on to win in the overall IRC category). Photo: ROLEX/Francolini.
But Kavanaugh skated away by noting how little control he had over the disposition of those records. Durbin noted that the man tasked with much of the relevant document review this summer had been William Burck, a Republican attorney who once worked for Kavanaugh. (Burck's clients now include Don McGahn, the White House counsel, who sat just behind Kavanaugh throughout the first two days of hearings.)
And so it went, through one Democrat's list of questions after another. For the Democrats, this is not an exercise in shaping the Supreme Court. It is a series of appeals to their supporters to sympathize with the futility of their predicament.
I was born in the U.K. but moved to Norway in 2011 and haven't looked back. I run a website and podcast about Norway, authored the Moon Norway travel guidebook, and spend my free time touring the country to discover more about the people and places of this unique corner of the world. I write for Forbes with an outsider's inside perspective on Norway & Scandinavia.
TTC visited this address, and we saw no signage mentioning Wholesome Wellness. The building, located near Portland International Airport, appears to be a distribution warehouse. According to Tax Records, the address is registered to freight forwarder USGoBuy. While we were given the name of the owner of Wholesome Wellness, Jimmy Nguyen, no one we spoke with could tell us how to reach him.
From my seat in the audience, it struck me that there was not a single woman on that stage. I took a photo of the stage, blew it up, framed it, and hung it on my office wall. I captioned it: "What's wrong with this picture?"
Why would I want my dechurched family members to witness this gathering of the Body of Christ? The last place I would want to reintroduce them to worship was this half empty church for a half-hearted exercise in fund raising and a full miss when it comes to what the Christian community is supposed to be about.
Why would I want any of my dechurched family members to have set aside their various weekend activities to witness this gathering of the Body of Christ? The last place I would want to reintroduce them to worship was this half empty church for a half-hearted exercise in fund raising and a full miss when it comes to what the Christian community is supposed to be about when it assembles.
My Saturday morning companions hit the nail on the head: this picture is about the mother, her own ongoing issues and preoccupations. No matter how justified these may be, they have no place in the care of infants and children precisely because they prevent us from seeing children for who they are. They prevent us from reading the signals coming from the child and responding to them appropriately and with sensitivity. 2ff7e9595c
